How much would the cost of partitioning and reformatting a hard drive estimately cost if I take it to a shop?

  2. admin says:

I would believe this would be from $50-100. This broad range should cover you and may also include the installation of a new drive along with this.

The actions/commands to perform these tasks is relatively easy. It can take several minutes for the action to complete on larger drives.

I would like to know the cost of getting the hard drive work better and faster, which means removing unnecessary files and programs and making some space on the hard drive and also to find out if there’s any virus.

    Thanks,
    Namrata

The cost should be relatively low…around $50-100. You’ll want to compare this to the cost of a new hard drive. If you drive is two or more years old, it could make more sense to just buy new. An external drive is always a useful addition since it allows you to easily move from one system to another when you upgrade or change computers.
